In January 2015, our country produced 7.07 million tonnes of steel that was almost 1.7% higher than the country’s production in last December and ranked as the fourth highest production globally. According to a sectoral analysis by Frost & Sullivan’s Metals & Mining Practice, it is estimated that within the coming 10 years India will become the second biggest producer of Steel in the world.
